It conserves 160,000 images, one of the most important collections in the world dealing with exploration, mountaineering and travelling from the Alps to the Himalayas, to the Poles. In this section it is possible to see a selection of some 600 photographs chosen from the most representative, both for their iconographic value and for their historical and documentary importance. From this page you can go directly to some examples or make a search, by inserting photographer, title (in which the place of the photograph is often mentioned), and year.
