MEETING AREA
In 1891 the CAI Turin Section’s Social Club Gymnasium was officially opened on the Monte dei Cappuccini, with annexed Restaurant. This was an important place that the members of the newly founded Alpine Club could come to in order to prepare themselves for ascents in the mountains. Even today those spaces are used for members’ meetings, even if no longer as a gym.
MEETING CENTER
Some rooms in the Monte dei Cappuccini complex are used daily for meetings, gatherings, and conferences, in addition to the usual activities of CAI Torino. The Sala degli Stemmi, richly frescoed in 1891 and the heart of the old Alpine Gymnasium of the Turin Alpine Club, serves as a branch of the Museum. Like the other rooms, named Monviso, Uja di Mondrone, and Rocciamelone, it is equipped with audio and video systems connected to each other through a small control room.
The Meeting Center is therefore capable of hosting events even with a large number of attendees.

RESTAURANT
The Monte dei Cappuccini Restaurant, reserved for visitors to the Museo Nazionale della Montagna and to the Sala degli Stemmi (separate branch of the Museum) and to members of CAI Torino, is the restaurant and bar that the Museum offers its public for a pleasant pause during a visit to the Monte dei Cappuccini.
Its wonderful position on the hill of Turin, together with the quality of the food and service, has made it a much sought-after destination for Turin’s inhabitants and tourists alike.
